The 16th of December, 2023, we visited HeCareth Orphanage Home in Ibadan, Oyo State. We arrived with backpacks full of educational materials, Christmas gifts, and foodstuffs for the home, ensuring that the children had everything they needed to thrive academically once they resumed academic sessions in January while also ensuring they enjoyed the festive season.
The atmosphere was electric as our Santa arrived, bringing smiles and excitement to the children’s faces. It was a “Christmas came early” experience, with gifts being handed out and the joy of the season filling the air.
In addition to the festive celebrations, we also conducted learning sessions focused on health and moral values. These sessions were designed to empower the children with knowledge and principles that will guide them in their daily lives.
The day was rounded off with a series of interesting games that brought out the playful spirits of the children. Their laughter and enthusiasm made the visit even more memorable, and it was heartwarming to see them enjoy every moment.
Our time at HeCareth Orphanage Home was a beautiful blend of joy, learning, and community spirit. We left with hearts full of gratitude, knowing that we had made a positive impact on the lives of the children.
