On December 19th, 2020, Hope Catalyst Initiative visited The Citadel of Grace Mission Orphanage Home in Igando, Lagos. The day was packed with educational, empowering, and enjoyable activities, leaving a lasting impression on both the children and our volunteers.
The visit began with an engaging health talk where the children learned about personal health, general cleanliness, and self-care. This session was highly interactive, with the kids eagerly participating and excited to learn more about maintaining their well-being. In addition, the children were inspired with a motivational lecture focused on achieving their dreams and becoming better individuals in the future. This session encouraged them to reflect on their passions and aspirations, and they enthusiastically shared what they love to do and what they hope to become.
The highlight of the day was the skill acquisition session, which introduced the children to the art of Tye and Dye. They were taught both the theoretical aspects and practical steps of the process. The children were fascinated by the hands-on experience and thrilled to see the final product—a beautifully crafted Tye and Dye shirt
